Waste & Resources
Waste classification, VENM and ENM assessments and resource recovery advice for excavated material.
Plan the assessment before excavated material moves
EnviCore Consulting helps builders, excavators, demolition contractors and civil contractors assess soil and fill across Greater Sydney and NSW. Start with the material history, proposed movement and intended destination, then choose an assessment pathway that answers the project question.
Waste classification reports
Our dedicated waste classification report service covers scope development, review of existing information, sampling and laboratory testing where needed, and reporting of the assessed material and its limitations. Confirm the receiving facility’s requirements before booking transport.
VENM and ENM assessments
Material appearance alone does not establish that it is virgin excavated natural material (VENM). Excavated natural material (ENM) is assessed under a different framework, including the applicable resource recovery order and exemption conditions. A general solid waste classification does not establish unrestricted reuse suitability.
Existing reports, stockpiles and variable fill
Existing data may support an assessment where it represents the material being moved and answers the relevant classification question. Changes in the excavation footprint, depth, material type or known contamination can require further assessment. Tell us about hotspots, suspected asbestos, mixed stockpiles and any proposed segregation.
Information needed for a quote
Send the site address, excavation plans, approximate volume and depth, previous reports, stockpile information and programme. Include the proposed facility or reuse location if known. Request a waste assessment proposal or call (02) 9188 0852.
