Waste Classification Reports

Waste classification reports for excavated soil and fill across Sydney and NSW. Send your volume, site details and programme for a quote.

Before trucks are booked, establish what the excavated material is and which receiving facility can accept it. EnviCore Consulting prepares waste classification assessments for builders, demolition contractors, developers and civil contractors across Greater Sydney and NSW.

Request a waste classification quote or call (02) 9188 0852. Include the excavation location, estimated volume, material history and programme.

A classification matched to the material being moved

A report needs to represent the material covered by its scope. We review previous investigations, site history, excavation plans and material variability before recommending a sampling and assessment approach. Existing results can be useful, but their suitability depends on where, when and how samples were collected.

Our assessment process

  • Review the proposed excavation or stockpile and available records.
  • Define the material units and the agreed investigation scope.
  • Arrange field sampling and laboratory analysis where needed.
  • Assess the evidence against the applicable NSW waste framework.
  • Report the classification, its extent and relevant limitations.

Waste classification, VENM and ENM

These terms describe different assessment pathways. Material is not automatically VENM because it looks natural, and a general solid waste classification does not establish suitability for unrestricted reuse. ENM supply and use must meet the applicable resource recovery order and exemption conditions.

We help identify which assessment is appropriate for your proposed material movement. Tell us whether the intended destination is disposal, off-site reuse or another management option.

What the report helps you plan

The report documents the assessed material, supporting information and conclusions. Receiving facilities can impose their own acceptance requirements, so confirm acceptance before transport. Classification does not itself book a facility, approve a disposal route or replace waste tracking and other obligations that may apply.

Information needed for a quote

Send the site address, excavation footprint and depth, estimated volume, stockpile details if applicable, existing contamination reports and the proposed destination. Flag suspected asbestos, unexpected fill or known hotspots so these can be considered separately.
