Contaminated land assessment for Sydney and NSW projects
Environmental investigations should answer the question holding up your decision: whether contamination is likely, whether further testing is needed, how a site can be managed, or what evidence is needed after remediation. Start with the right investigation
A preliminary site investigation (PSI) reviews the site history and condition, develops a conceptual site model and considers the need for further assessment. A detailed site investigation (DSI) uses a planned investigation programme to characterise potential contamination and address remaining information gaps.
Remediation planning and validation
Where remediation is needed, a remedial action plan sets out the proposed approach and the evidence needed to assess its completion. Validation documents the work and assessment results against the agreed objectives. Long-term management or further investigation may be needed depending on the findings.

We provide acid sulfate soil assessment and management advice, groundwater investigation and monitoring, and reporting to address project-specific environmental requirements. For excavated material leaving site, arrange a separate waste classification assessment where required; a contamination investigation does not automatically cover every waste movement.

Reports are scoped with reference to relevant guidance, including the NSW EPA contaminated land reporting guidelines. Approval and audit outcomes depend on the evidence and the relevant decision-maker.
