Hazardous Materials Surveys
Hazardous materials surveys for Sydney and NSW demolition and refurbishment. Send your building details and work scope for a quote.
Plan hazardous materials assessment before demolition or refurbishment starts. EnviCore Consulting undertakes surveys for demolition contractors, builders, developers and building owners across Greater Sydney and NSW.
Request a hazardous materials survey quote or call (02) 9188 0852. Send the site address, building information and drawings showing the work area.
Match the survey to the work
A management inspection for an occupied building and a survey for demolition or intrusive refurbishment can require different access and investigation methods. We confirm the purpose of the survey, the areas affected by the proposed works and whether intrusive inspection is appropriate and authorised.
Tell us about live services, restricted spaces, occupancy and any areas that cannot be accessed. Concealed materials and inaccessible spaces must be addressed through clearly documented limitations and follow-up arrangements.
Materials considered in the agreed scope
A hazardous materials survey may assess asbestos-containing materials, lead-containing paint, synthetic mineral fibres and suspected PCB-containing equipment, where relevant to the building and engagement. Sampling and laboratory analysis are selected to answer the survey questions; visual inspection alone cannot confirm every material.
What you receive
- A report identifying inspected areas and the agreed survey scope.
- Material descriptions, locations and photographs where appropriate.
- Sampling results and laboratory information where testing is undertaken.
- Recommendations to inform work planning and material management.
- Clear limitations and identification of areas requiring further assessment.
From survey to demolition planning
The survey gives your project team information to plan removal, sequencing and controls. It does not itself authorise removal, certify that every concealed material has been found or replace a contractor’s work methods and responsibilities.
If asbestos removal follows, plan an independent clearance engagement before the work is completed. We assess the scope and any independence considerations before accepting clearance work.
Information needed for a quote
Provide the address, approximate building age and floor area, demolition or refurbishment scope, drawings, existing asbestos register or reports, access arrangements and programme. Identify whether the property will be occupied during inspection and whether destructive access can be arranged.
